Helpful Tips

GATHER! Collect as many coupons as you can get your hands on! If your neighbor doesn’t use theirs, ask for them! If you find one in the parking lot at Fry’s, pick it up! If a manufacturer issues a coupon, that item will more than likely go on sale. When and where, we don’t know, but it eventually will.

When you get your Sunday paper and / or print off coupons, flip through them to become familiar with which brands / items are in them.

There are different methods that you can use to organize your coupons. Most websites will tell you which Sunday paper date the coupon came in, so organizing your coupon inserts in folders by date is very helpful. Most websites will also post links to websites to print coupons from.

Some people choose to organize all of their coupons using the “binder method”. This means cutting out your coupons and organizing them into transparent baseball card holders, by category, so that they can be viewed at a glance. This is great for all of your printed coupons.

Set your printer only print in black & white. This helps save your printer from wasting color ink when you print a lot of coupons at once.

You should never have to pay out of pocket for these items:

Fry’s and Safeway automatically double coupons up to $1.00.

Fry’s will always be your cheapest store, then Safeway, Bashas, Albertsons. You can ad-match at Walmart, but they don’t double coupons, give any % off or honor B1G1 deals.
