MOST COMMON COUPON ACRONYMS

$/$$ - As an example, $5/$25 = $5.00 off your order of $25.00 or more. You'll often see other coupons that are similar, like $2/$10 or $3/$30. If your store is accepting competitor coupons, present these $/$$ coupons to the cashier BEFORE giving them any other coupons you may have.

Rewards purchases of promoted products with “catalinas”, also known as “check-out coupons”. These offer incentives are good on your next shopping trip to that retailer.

DND – Do Not Double

Double coupon – coupon that a grocery store matches to “double” the value to the customer, usually up to $1.00.

ECB – CVS Extra Care Bucks earned for purchase.

FAR – Free After Rebate

IVC – Walgreen’s Instant Value Coupon

NED – No Expiration Date

OAS – A coupon that is good On Any Size

OOP – Out Of Pocket

OOS – Out Of Stock

P&G – Proctor & Gamble

Peelie – coupon that is attached directly to the product to be “peeled off”. Generally they indicate “use me now”. These coupons are frequently unnoticed at the time of purchases, but can be removed and redeemed at any time before the expiration date.

POP – Proof Of Purchase

PP – Purchase Price

Q – Coupon

RAOK – Random act of kindness

RP – Red Plumb (also referred to as Valassis)

RR - "Register Rewards" - Walgreens coupon that prints out after purchase, $amount that will be taken off your total on your next transaction. You can do seperate transactions, earning your RR in the first and use it in the second. These have expiration dates, so be aware!!

SASE – Self Addressed Stamped Envelope

Tear pad – A pad of coupons, generally stocked on the shelf or display, where you simply tear the coupon off the pad.
